2027 LOCAL 12 WAGE ALLOCATION OPTIONS
Posted March 20, 2026
Please make sure to make it to the meeting on April 16th to vote on these three options which will take effect in January 2027.
As local 12 has always done, the three business representatives, Steve Belong, Anthony Nuanez, and Edgar Flores, came up with one option, the Local 12 Executive Board came up with the second option, and the members got to brainstorm and come up with individual options. They got to vote that night on which option would represent the third option. Local 12 wants the members’ voice to be heard, unlike other unions that don’t give members an option on allocating; they don’t even get to vote, and that’s not what the union should be about. The options are as follows. As for BMST Robert Williams, we will allocate $0.75 to Health and Welfare. If the whole $0.75 is not needed, the remainder will go to the Wage Equality, as this was voted on and approved at the March meeting by the members. As per the IUPAT General Executive Board, on getting the IUPAT Admin dues to $0.55 by 2028 with $0.10 increments per year up to 2028, by 2028 it should be at $0.55 and the goal is to have the over-the-counter dues at $12.00 per month across the board, except for the owner/member, which will stay the same. The options are as follows.
Option 1:
$1.00 Wages
$0.75 Health and Welfare
$0.50 Annuity
$0.15 Wage Equality
$0.10 IUPAT Admin Dues
$1.50 Vacation Holiday
