2025 TRADES WOMEN BUILD NATIONS

SEPTEMBER 19-21 CHICAGO ILLINOIS

The Trades Women Conference was held in Chicago during the weekend, there were over 5,000 people in attendance, this is more than just a conference, it is a movement. Local 12 has two active women in our trade, Alexandria Perez and Rosio Lule, they both work for All County Flooring and the company is very pleased with their work ethic and skills. We need to be open in welcoming more women into the floorcovering world.

This picture was taken on Saturday September 20, during the banner parade where over 5,000 attendees hit the streets of Chicago, in the picture we have Natalie Santacruz who is the Administrative Assistant to Local 12, thank you for everything that you do for our members. Deborah Vasquez is on the right, Deborah is a local 12 retiree.

Deborah started her floorcovering career in 1994 with 28 years of service, Deborah is still very involved in our union as well as the Trades women movement. Thank you for paving the way for the current and future women in our trade. Please treat them with respect because one day we might have our daughters join a trade and we would like for them to be treated with respect.
