Happy New Year Brothers and Sisters!

I hope this article finds you and your loved ones starting off the year on a positive note.

This year is looking to be another great year.  There are several large projects in the greater Sacramento area starting in the next few months.  The Sky River Casino, Capitol Annex, Richards Boulevard Office Complex, and the Oroville Hospital.  We have our signatory contractors bidding the Aggie Square Project, California Northstate University Medical Center and the new Sacramento County Courthouse. In Sacramento alone there is over a billion dollars in signed Project Labor Agreements (PLA) and Community Workforce Training Agreements (CWTA).

This year the Northern California Master Agreement and the Sacramento Floor Covering Addendum will be negotiated.  I’m asking you to be a part of the negotiating process by giving the Negotiating Team what you want to see in a new contract.  At this months Membership Meeting it was asked to the in attendance their opinion on the following; wages, shift work, per diem, DDO’s and the base wage.  I will be emailing and talking to members on the job sites asking the same questions.

If you want to call me at your convenience, you can reach me at (916)407-8279.
