2022 Work Outlook & Contract

Posted January 10, 2022

Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to start by wishing everyone a Happy New Year! With that being said, it looks like in 2022 we are finally going to start getting busy again. Please make sure you call and get on the Out of Work List. I have been speaking with Local and Bay Area contractors about workforce needs on projects here in the Sacramento Area. We should be getting requests throughout the month. We have been pretty slow for a while, and I am happy to say that there should be plenty of work to keep everyone busy for a while.

Please try to make the monthly meeting to stay informed on things that are going on in our region. The Drywall Finishers contract is set to expire at the end of June, and we want input from the membership about anything you would like to be brought up during negotiations. Meetings are the 2nd Monday of every month at 5:30. Please keep in mind that we are still under COVID-19 protocols that require anyone entering the building to wear a face covering and either have proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours the meeting date. If you are experiencing any symptoms, please stay home and join us via zoom. We will continue to have meetings in person and via zoom until further notice.

Regards,

William  Gonzalez
