2020 What a Year!

Posted December 22, 2020

I hope you like the new DC16 website.  It has been a long time in the making.  I had the honor of being part of the website design team and it is has been a process to say the least.  Lots of meetings with the design team from Propane and also with DC16 staff.  It was very important to make sure that the website was easy to use for the members.  I hope we have succeeded.

Work has been slowing down a little and we have had a few members put on the Out of Work List.  If you are not working, please make sure to call the union hall and put yourself on the list.  If we don’t know you’re out of work we can’t notify you when a contractor needs man power.  Please remember to call in the first day of each month to remain on the list.

2020 has been quite the year.  While most of us have been affected by Covid-19 one way or another, District Council 16 and all the locals have been working at full capacity to make sure the members and contractors needs are met.  Rules and procedures are in place for your safety and the staff’s safety.  If you need assistance please call the union hall, we will help you or make arrangements to have you come into the office.  Office visits are by appointment only.

I would like to wish all of you a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year.  Please be safe and I hope to see you all next year.
