Day of Action Turn Out

Posted May 1, 2026

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to all the members of DC 16 who showed up and participated in this year’s Annual Day of Action at the union hall in Sacramento.

Your turnout and commitment once again demonstrated the strength, pride, and solidarity that define our union. Because of your efforts, the event was a great success—not just in participation, but in the impact we made in our community.

Together, we rolled up our sleeves and took on the task of cleaning up Governor Circle, helping to keep our neighborhood clean, safe, and welcoming. This kind of hands-on service reflects the values we stand for as union members: giving back, taking pride in our communities, and leading by example.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Patrick Kennedy, representative of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, for joining us and supporting this effort. His presence and willingness to take part alongside our members reinforces the importance of partnerships between labor and local leadership.

Events like the Annual Day of Action remind us that when we come together, we can accomplish meaningful work both on and off the jobsite. Thank you again to everyone who participated—we look forward to continuing this tradition and making an even greater impact in the future.

In Solidarity,

William Gonzalez
