2025 Walter Cantrell Winner

A heartfelt congratulations to Ashley Middling, the 2025 Walter Cantrell Scholarship recipient from local 718!

Ashley is the daughter of our very own 718 member Ricci Middling, and if you’ve seen Ricci lately, you know exactly how proud he is — the man is absolutely beaming. As the parent of a high school senior myself, I completely understand that feeling when your child achieves something this significant. Here’s hoping we all raise kids who make us this proud.

Ashley earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara and is currently pursuing her master’s in forensic science at UC Davis, where she’ll graduate in 2026. Upon completion, she plans to launch a career in law enforcement — putting her education and passion to work serving and protecting our communities.

Well deserved, Ashley. We’re all rooting for you! 🎉
