My name is Dominicka Elias and I am an Automotive Painter by trade. I started working at Gillig at the age of 18 as a summer hire in 2012. During that time most people encouraged me to stay and in the summer of 2014 that’s when my career. I’ve now been with Gillig company for 12 years. I’ve gained experience in painting and many other tasks within my trade.

My advice to anyone who wants to join the trade is don’t be scared to try new things. Look for opportunities to volunteer or gain hands-on experience to get a feel for the work. Don’t be scared to join because it’s mostly men in this industry, women can do the jobs as well!
