Hermanos y Hermanas,
I hope this article finds you and yours looking forward to the warmer days of summer and the end of the school year. I want to remind you that April 25. is the Annual IUPAT Day of Action and the Sacramento Region will be working with Eric Guerra, Sacramento Mayor Pro-Tem, on a community project. I hope to see all of you there. We will be texting the members with all the info when the date gets closer. On April 7. at the Membership Meeting the members in attendance (25 members) voted to allocate our January 1, 2027, $4.00 wage increase as follows.
0.75¢ Health and Welfare
0.20¢ IUPAT Pension
0.10¢ IUPAT Admin Dues
The above are contractual obligations.
$1.00 Wages
0.78¢ Annuity
0.78 Holiday/Vacation
0.25¢ Market Recovery
0.14 DC16 FTI (apprenticeship)
With the $4.00 increase the Sacramento total package as of January 1, 2027, will be $86.72. The Holiday/Vacation will be $8.09 per hour, Annuity will be $5.87 per hour, and the taxable net wage will be $53.19 per hour. I want to thank those of you who took the time to come out and vote, your guys are the ones who really make the difference and are the heart of the union.
On May 5, 2026, at the next Membership Meeting we will have nominations for DC16 Business Manager/Secretary Treasurer, Business Representative, and DC16 Delegates. If you are interested in any of these positions please let men know and we can talk about these positions, what they entail, and the qualifications you must have to run. In the next few days, you will receive information about the May Nominations and June Elections from DC16. I hope to see all of you at the next meeting on May 5, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
