THANKSGIVING IS AROUND THE CORNER

Thanksgiving is around the corner, and we hope that you spend time with loved ones during these difficult times. We know that there are some families struggling especially during the Government shutdown that is finally over after 43 days.

We all know someone who relies on CalFresh and SNAP, and other State and Government assistance, let’s be mindful and donate either time, food, or monetary donations to those in need. Know that there is a lot of support in your local communities when it comes to food banks and other support.

Keep an eye out on the DC16IUPAT.org website to get involved in upcoming VAC’s, there are some upcoming Turkey drives that District Council 16 and your local unions support and donate to. Please see the flyer below that Local 12 donated to and will be volunteering at the distribution on Wednesday November 26 at 935 Detroit Ave, in Concord, if you know anyone that lives around Concord that can use a holiday meal and turkey for Thanksgiving please give them this information.
