Painters Certifications Requirements Effective January 1, 2026

¿Cual es el trato?

Más importante…. A partir del 1 de enero^st, 2026, Journeyman Painters MUST have these three certifications (through STAR) to be dispatched at all. All of this information can be found in the Northern California Painters Master Agreement in Article II Section 15. ¿Qué certificaciones?

The certifications will change every year for the remainder of the current contract but below are the classes you must have to be dispatched in 2026:

Pintores comerciales:

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 and Scaffold Training

Pintores industriales y de puentes:

CAS Level 2 Certification for spray painters and blasters -OR-

Hanging Platform Training, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, and Fall Protection (including Ladder Safety)
