Local 567 Apprentice of the Year

On the week of November 18^. to the 22^nd our Unions celebrated National Apprenticeship week with the Nation. Every year we dedicate one week to recognize the important work our apprenticeship does to change people’s lives and to improve the communities around us. These programs give opportunities to those who want to make a change in their lives. Providing good paying jobs and free training for the careers of their choice.

Last week we had the opportunity to participate with TMCC and the Northern Nevada Apprenticeship Coordinators Association to award 2 of our apprentices for this year’s Apprentice of the Year Award. After much deliberation and narrowing down the best finalist, we made the decision to nominate:

• Brother Jordan Clow (3^rd year Painting apprentice working for WPI)
• Cynthia Hernandez-Gutierrez (1^st Year Drywall Finishing apprentice with WPI)

Next time you see or meet these two apprentices, be sure to congratulate them on their accomplishments. They are both dedicated, motivated, and are the future of this Local Union.
