LOCAL 487 PAINTERS,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is a reminder that starting January 1, 2025, all Painters, Commercial and Industrial, must have specific certifications to be eligible for dispatch. If you do not have these certifications, please contact William Gonzalez at (916) 696-1106. He will coordinate with the Director of Training to see if you can be placed in one of the regular apprentice classes to obtain the necessary training for these certifications. Please note that attending the class during the work week is mandatory, and you will not receive credit towards STAR Training. Below are the required trainings.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n (a)<\/strong> Cada oficial (pintor comercial) o trabajador de categor\u00eda superior deber\u00e1 completar satisfactoriamente y mantener lo siguiente:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. By January 1, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n i. Fall Protection (USACE EM385), including Ladder Safety, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n ii. Mobile Elevated Worker Platforms, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n iii. Harassment Training<\/p>\n\n\n\n or<\/p>\n\n\n\n iv. Sixteen (16) hours employer recommended painter trade and\/or safety education<\/p>\n\n\n\n training, if the above-required training is complete and up to date. If none or only a<\/p>\n\n\n\n portion of the above training is complete, the hours to complete the required<\/p>\n\n\n\n training above would count towards the minimum sixteen (16) hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n (b)<\/strong> Cada oficial cualificado y superior (pintor industrial y de puentes) deber\u00e1 completar satisfactoriamente y mantener lo siguiente:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1.
