El invitado de honor fue Charlie Chaney, jubilado del Local 1237. El hermano Charlie se uni\u00f3 al sindicato en 1974 y ha estado pagando sus cuotas completas durante 50 a\u00f1os. La IUPAT lo ha reconocido como Miembro Oro. Durante el almuerzo tuve el honor de entregarle a Charlie un reloj de oro, una tarjeta de membres\u00eda de oro y una placa que conmemora sus 50 a\u00f1os de logro. Asistieron los hermanos Fred Carter, Gus Cooksey, Bob Cooksey, Vince Echeverr\u00eda, Karl Griffiths, Gregg Hansen, Greg Hartwick, Hector Luera, Ed McDonald y Tim Morgan. Charlie y yo trabajamos en simas Floors a principios de los a\u00f1os 90 y, como su aprendiz, tuve la suerte no solo de aprender nuestro oficio de Charlie, sino que \u00e9l ha sido un mentor y amigo durante m\u00e1s de 30 a\u00f1os. Charlie tambi\u00e9n es actualmente el \u00fanico contratista miembro en el Local 1237. Tambi\u00e9n me gustar\u00eda agradecer a H\u00e9ctor Luera y Vince Echeverr\u00eda por cocinar.
