Northern California Painters:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Per the Northern California Painters Master Agreement, Article 11; Section 15<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAFETY TRAINING – <\/strong>Each Journeyperson and above (Painter) shall obtain and maintain<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the certifications and training outlined in subsections a and b below. Once the required training is<\/p>\n\n\n\n

complete and up-to-date, Journeypersons and above shall then annually complete a minimum of sixteen<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(16) hours of painter-trade and\/or safety education training courses that are recommended by their<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employer. The curriculum for such continuing education shall be established and provided by the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finishing Trades Institute of Northern California and Nevada (\u201cFTI\u201d)<\/strong> and made available through the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STAR Program<\/strong>. They shall possess a valid and updated training card and provide documented proof of<\/p>\n\n\n\n

training to their Employer and the FTI. The Union shall not dispatch any Journeyperson without proof of<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

training<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(a) <\/strong>Each Journeyperson and above (Commercial Painter)<\/strong> shall successfully complete and maintain the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. By January 1, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

i. Fall Protection (USACE EM385), including Ladder Safety, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ii. Mobile Elevated Worker Platforms, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iii. Harassment Training<\/p>\n\n\n\n

or<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iv. Sixteen (16) hours employer recommended painter trade and\/or safety education<\/p>\n\n\n\n

training, if the above-required training is complete and up to date. If none or only a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

portion of the above training is complete, the hours to complete the required<\/p>\n\n\n\n

training above would count towards the minimum sixteen (16) hours\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(b) <\/strong>Each Journeyperson and above (Industrial & Bridge Painter)<\/strong> shall successfully complete and maintain the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. By January 1, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

i. OSHA-10, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ii. Scaffold Training, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iii. Harassment Training<\/p>\n\n\n\n

or<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iv. Sixteen (16) hours Employer recommended painter trade and\/or safety education<\/p>\n\n\n\n

training, if the above-required training is complete and up to date. If none or only a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

portion of the above training is complete, the hours to complete the required<\/p>\n\n\n\n

training above would count towards the minimum sixteen (16) hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
