Floor Layers Ratify New Three year Master Agreement

This past Saturday June 25, 2011, the Floor Layers ratified a new three year Northern California Master Agreement. This new agreement is in effect from July 1, 2011-June 30, 2014.  Here is a breakdown of the Journeyman wages:
Article 10-Wages:

(1) Journeymen will recieve a one dollar and fifty cent ($1.50) per hour increase to the Total Wage Package on each January 1 of this agreemnt and and extension thereof.

(2) The increases shall first be used to pay  twenty five cents ($0.25) for pension deficit reduction and for any health and welfare increases.  Any remaining increase shall go onto wages unless benchmark hours are less than 1,370,000 for the period between July1 and June 30th of the previous year. If this is the case the remanianing increase shall remain in deferment until benchmark hours are met.  (a complete description of this is in the contract)

The remaining changes in Language and working conditions will be posted shortly with the contract in its entirety.  Congratulations to the Negotiating team, the Joint Executive board, and the members who worked very hard on this agreement.
