District Council 16 craftsmen are trained through State of California-certified Apprenticeship & Training programs. Graduation to Journeyman level requires between 3 and 5 years of combined classroom and on-the-job training covering:

• Basic craft skills, methods and techniques
• CPR & First Aid
• Confined spaces
• Fall Protection
• Mechanical Lift & Scaffolds
• OSHA
• Advanced Journeyman Education
